The Uttar Pradesh government undertook a tablet distribution initiative at Allahabad Degree College, Prayagraj (UP), under the Digishakti and Swamivevekananda Yova Sasaktikaran Yojana. Aimed at empowering students with digital access, the program provided tablets to eligible learners to enhance learning continuity, bridge the digital divide, and support e-learning across departments. The initiative emphasized training on device usage, safety, and academic applications to boost engagement, research, and skill development. Consistent with UP’s broader educational modernization efforts, the scheme sought to improve academic outcomes, foster digital literacy, and prepare students for higher education and employability in a technology-driven economy.
