    Our department is proud to be home to distinguished scholars and experienced academicians. Currently, it comprises one professor and three assistant professors, all of whom bring diverse specializations and rich academic experience. Faculty members are actively engaged in research and academic discourse, regularly participating in national and international seminars. Notably, in the past year, Dr. Ishita Singh presented her research paper at an international conference held at Loughborough University, London, UK, Beyond academics, the department places strong emphasis on the holistic development of students. A range of extracurricular activities — including discussions on the Union Budget, essay writing competitions, debates, and special sessions on the contributions of eminent economists such as former Prime Minister Prof. Manmohan Singh—are regularly organized to stimulate critical thinking and civic awareness. To further support student success, the department conducts remedial classes for academically weaker students and offers career counselling to help them build confidence, enhance their personality, and pursue future opportunities with clarity and purpose.
