The Department of Law at Allahabad Degree College is an excellent seat of learning and imparting legal education. The department is enriched with learned academicians and researchers in their respective fields. With a focus on holistic development, the department offers students world-class faculty, which consists of one professor and 21 assistant professors, all have PhDs in law and are leaders of their specialized fields. Each faculty member has a number of papers and books published to his or her credit. The department has well-equipped classrooms, Moot Court Hall, Legal Aid Room, and a library. The departmental library is at the heart of academic endeavor, providing access to books, research papers, and various national & international journals. 

    The department offers three programs: These include LL.B. (3 Years Course), LL.M., and PhD in Law. The department is also providing free learning for judicial services competitive exams to its students. Since its inception, the department has been a leader, producing many legal luminaries, judges, leading advocates, and trend-setters in all walks of life. The aim of the department is to impart fearless, disciplined education to our students, to develop in the student and research scholar a sense of responsibility to serve society in the field of law by developing skills in regard to advocacy, judicial, and other legal services and to prepare them to contribute to nation-building. Our aim is to develop a holistic personality of our students with theoretical as well as practical guidance. We not only teach and show the goal but we also guide how to achieve the goal. Through Moot Court, debate, quiz competitions, education tours, sports and yoga, and various multifarious activities, we prepare our students to face the social and legal challenges with confidence. 

    We nurture healthy teacher and student relationships, which transform the classroom into a thriving environment where learning is more effective and engaging. Students are in constant touch with the faculty members not only during classroom studies but also after leaving the college. Our emphasis is not to provide our students with bookish knowledge, but we relate the subject to day-to-day practical problems. Law is the backbone of a civilized society, and we are preparing our students in such a way that they not only become the backbone of society but also makers of a civilized society by safeguarding individual freedoms and human rights.
