Allahabad Degree College (a constituent P.G. college of the University of Allahabad) held its Annual Function on 5th June 2026. The event took place at the Allahabad Medical Association auditorium and included the felicitation of meritorious students and various cultural performances. The program began with lighting a lamp and offering flowers at the statue of Goddess Saraswati, followed by devotional hymns and prayers to the goddess. The chief and special guest was G. Satheesh Reddy. He is an Indian scientist and former chairperson of the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), were welcomed with bouquets. The welcome address was jointly delivered by the Principal, Prof. Atul Kumar Singh, and Rajesh Agarwal, Secretary of the Agarwal Jatiya Educational Council. Cultural performances, songs, and music by the E.T.C. Music Band and vocal presentations were performed by the college students under the guidance of Prof. Indu Sharma. During the ceremony, the college’s annual magazine "Aparajita" was also released; this year’s edition is dedicated to environmental conservation and development. The event was presided over by Prof. Piyush Ranjan Agarwal. The presence of academicians, alumni, and guests made the program successful and memorable.
